This one is exciting!

I am seeing Lufthansa Allegris First Class award space between Munich and San Diego, including some dates with two seats available.

Lufthansa First Class has become quite difficult to book with miles. We are not seeing good availability with partners as we used to, and it is not always on the routes you want. So seeing multiple dates with space, and two seats on some of them, is worth paying attention to.

You can book through Lufthansa Miles and More for around 137,000 miles. Not cheap, but cash prices for Lufthansa First Class are very high, so the math can still work out well.

The Munich to San Diego route is one of the Allegris routes. The new Allegris First Class Suite is a big step up from the older Lufthansa First Class product. Much more private, more modern, higher walls, a larger screen, and a cabin that finally feels like it belongs in the conversation with the best First Class products in the sky.

But lets face it. The double suite in the middle of the First Class cabin is still hard to understand. If you book it as a solo traveler, you pay extra for significantly more space. If you book it as a couple, you get it for free but you actually have less space and freedom (like you need to share one screen) than the two window seats would give you separately. It is a strange concept.

That said, it is a very exciting product no matter where you are sitting.

Move quickly if the dates work for you. This kind of availability does not stick around.

Now for something close to home.

Aerolíneas Argentinas is planning to add Airbus A330neo aircraft, introduce a new business class product, and finally bring Wi-Fi to its long-haul flights.

As an Argentinian, this makes me very happy.

I have to be honest though: I would not choose to fly our national carrier long-haul today if I had other options. In fact the last time I flew them long haul was back in 2021… The planes are old. The configurations feel well past their time. The service culture is not where it needs to be. And the current long-haul business class is simply not competitive.

That is hard to say about your own country's airline. But it is true.

Aerolíneas Argentinas has been at the center of political controversy here for as long as I can remember. Arguments about ownership, subsidies, management, losses, unions, and service quality never seem to end. Which is part of why hearing that the airline is now profitable and planning real investment feels so significant.

New A330neos would modernize the long-haul fleet in a meaningful way. A new business class product would finally make the airline competitive on premium cabin travel. And Wi-Fi in 2026 should not even be news, but for Aerolíneas it really is.

The honest concern is continuity. In Argentina, one government supports something, another changes direction. One management team starts a plan, another pauses it. Progress here rarely moves in a straight line.

So I really hope the airline keeps this momentum. Argentina is far from almost everywhere in the world. Having a strong, reliable, competitive home carrier would make a real difference.

Let's hope it happens.

Now for the cash fare.

I am seeing Finnair business class fares from Oslo to Bangkok for around $2,100 round-trip.

The routing goes through Helsinki (duh!), which is one of the easier airports in Europe to connect through. The outbound is around 15 hours 55 minutes total, with a 3-hour 20-minute connection in Helsinki. The return is around 14 hours 30 minutes with a shorter 45-minute connection.

Before booking, you need to know about Finnair's business class seat. The AirLounge is one of the most unusual products in long-haul aviation. It does not recline in the normal way. It is more like a wide fixed-shell lounge chair, and you use cushions and the leg rest to create different sitting, lounging, and sleeping positions. Some people love it. Some people really do not.

At around $2,100 round-trip to Bangkok though, I would absolutely consider it.

Paying cash here can make more sense than using points. You get a confirmed business class ticket, earn miles, and avoid burning a large points balance on a route where award availability can be tricky.

Bangkok is also one of the best places to start an Asia trip. From there you can continue into Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, or Indonesia without much trouble.

If you are based in Europe or can position cheaply to a city like Oslo, this fare is worth checking.
