Hey {{first name | reader}},
It's New Year's Eve, and today we're hitting pause on the usual format. No airline headlines. No "book this now." No charts, no deal alerts.
Just a sincere note from the two of us — thank you.
A few months ago, we decided to start this newsletter because we felt there was a gap. There's plenty of travel content out there, but not much that feels like a message from a friend who's deep in the world of premium travel and points… and actually wants to share what's useful, what's interesting, and what's genuinely worth your time.
So we committed to making this a real project — not an afterthought.
We put a lot of effort into it from the start: trying to keep each edition clear, fun, and practical. Stuff you can read in a few minutes and walk away thinking, "Okay, that was actually helpful," or at least, "That was entertaining enough to justify ignoring my inbox for a second."
And the truth is: you made it feel real.
Every time you open, reply, forward it to a friend, or even just silently read along — it tells us we're building something that matters. Not just to us, but to you too. That's a really special feeling, especially at the end of a year.
We also want to say this plainly: we don't take your attention lightly. Your inbox is crowded. Everyone is trying to sell you something. Everyone wants clicks. And you choosing to spend a few minutes with us is something we're genuinely grateful for.
A tiny recap of what we've love sharing
Over these past months, we've covered a mix of things that Dan and I would talk about anyway if we were sitting together at a café:
New cabins and aircraft (because yes, a seat can be a big deal)
Award availability that's actually bookable
Transfer bonuses and points sales — when they're worth it, and when they're not
Reviews and real takeaways from Dan's flights (the good, the bad, and the "how is this even real?")
And the little details that make luxury travel feel like luxury: lounges, service, bedding, amenity kits… all the stuff that makes you look around and think, "Okay. This is nice."
But beyond the topics, what we've cared about most is the tone: keeping it honest, not overhyped, and always focused on what helps you travel better.
We'd love your feedback (seriously)
If you're up for it, could you hit reply to this email and tell us a little bit about your experience with the newsletter?
Here are a few prompts (pick any):
What did you enjoy most this year?
What do you want more of in 2026?
What do you want less of?
Which topics make you instantly click… and which ones do you skip?
Is there anything we should change about the format, length, or style?
We read every reply, and your feedback directly shapes what we write next.
One last thing
Wherever you are tonight – whether you're out celebrating, working, flying, or just having a quiet moment to yourself – we hope you're ending the year feeling proud of something. And we hope 2026 brings you good health, good people, and at least one trip that feels like a true "wow, I can't believe I'm here" moment.
Thank you again for being here with us.
Cheers,
Dan & Tomi
